Hillside Centre

Sharp & Diamond is involved with 20 Vic in the transformation of Hillside Centre. The designs for Hillside will increase retail, restaurant, and social opportunities for the residents and visitors to Victoria, Saanich, and Oak Bay. Expansion plans include new retail and future mixed-use residential infill development.

Four pedestrian promenades will lead up to the main entrances and feature colonnades of trees, sitting areas, and multiple bike racks. Stores, restaurants, and cafes will open up on to a wide sidewalk creating a Main Street effect. In the parking lots, 'Vertical Swales' allow storm water to infiltrate via permeable pavers into underground swales comprised of structural soils and a reservoir supporting large canopy trees and vehicles.
