Aquaquest Learning Centre
Vancouver Aquarium, BC

The Aquaquest Learning Center is an addition to the Vancouver Aquarium that benefits employees and visitors and has become a destination space. The landscape contouring and pond feature provide natural lighting in lower building floors, while showcasing native plant material. The site features the first living wall installation in North America, which sets the precedent for further installations. The pond and living wall is nourished by rainwater collected off the roof, stored in an underground cistern, and fed through a drip irrigation system.

The project is certified LEED® Gold.
